Hi I´m Henning
I completed my M.Sc. in 2021 under the supervision of Dr. Tobias Gensch at TU Berlin, where I subsequently began my PhD studies. My research primarily explored structure-reactivity relationships in Ru-catalyzed olefin metathesis, utilizing various data science and computational chemistry techniques. In July 2023, I transitioned to the Gessner group to advance my PhD research and improve my data science and computational chemistry skills in new areas of chemistry. Currently, my focus is on Pd-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions using YPhos ligands, exploring possible main group catalysis, and conducting mechanistic studies on the reactivity of ylidic substrates. In my leisure time, I enjoy bouldering, taking walks, and watching soccer.
